Fundraising success for Rawtenstall firefighters

Three firefighters from Rawtenstall took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in August to raise money for The Firefighter’s Charity and A Child of Mine. FF Matt Crompton, FF Phil Riley and FF Joey Hawke walked the 24 mile route in just over twelve hours in full fire kit and BA on a hot August day.

Thanks to their tireless fundraising efforts (including collecting over £500 in change on the walk and the ingenious idea of having QR codes to their GoFundMe page on the back of their BA set) and determination to finish the challenge in a decent time meant they raised £3625.50 to be split equally between the two charities.

The trio are already setting their sights on another challenge for March 2021 and if this years fundraising is anything to go by they look set for another success.
