At 16:29 firefighters from Preesall attended a fire in a garden on Ashton Avenue, Knott End-on-Sea. The fire was extinguished using two hose reels. One casualty was given oxygen therapy by firefighters to treat the effects of smoke inhalation and placed into the care of NWAS. Crews were at the scene for one hour and twenty minutes.
