Fire crews from Darwen, Preston and Greater Manchester were called to reports of a fire on Stones Bank Road, Belmont. The fire involved approximately 25m by 10m of grassland and heather the side of the roadway. It was quickly extinguished using two hose reels. Firefighters were in attendance approximately twenty five minutes.
