Firefighters from Rawtenstall attended reports of a fire in the open near Riding Head Lane, Ramsbottom. On arrival crews found an area of grassland on fire approximately 50m by 10m. They extinguished the fire using beaters and aqua packs. They were in attendance approximately thirty minutes.
