Six fire engines and crews (Clitheroe, 2 Blackburn, 2 Burnley, Nelson) responded to a fire in a field. Firefighters used a stretch of open water to supply two main jets and a hosereel to extinguish the fire. Two hours on (at 5pm) the fire was reducing in scale and two Burnley and one Blackburn engine and crew were able to return to their stations. No-one has been injured and the caused of the fire is to be established.
Update at 5.49pm. Fire is out, all crews and engines leaving the scene.
