Firefighters from Penwortham were called to reports of fires in the open near Chain Caul Way, Ashton- upon-Ribble, Preston. On arrival they found several fires on the riverbank spreading across dry vegetation. Firefighters extinguished the fires using beaters and aqua packs. Firefighters were in attendance approximate one hour and fifteen minutes.
