Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service will start recruiting apprentice wholetime firefighters over the next few weeks.

We are looking for people who want to make a positive difference, who are adaptable; able to respond to emergency situations, deliver fire prevention activity and demonstrate empathy and support to the vulnerable people we come into contact with.

We’re actively encouraging applications from women, members of Lancashire’s minority ethnic communities and the LGBT community.  These groups are under-represented in our organisation, which we want to reflect the diversity of our communities, in order to deliver the best service possible to the people of Lancashire.

The recruitment process is challenging and we appoint only those candidates who perform at the highest level.

This is an opportunity to join an organisation identified as a workplace with an outstanding workplace culture; we offer inclusive employment policies, comprehensive development, free car parking, a Firefighters Pension Scheme, an employee assistance programme, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme, and access to work place gym facilities and the facilities provided by The Fire Fighters Charity.
