At 18:18 on 04 April, three fire engines from Blackburn and Darwen attended a house fire on Altom Street, Blackburn. The incident involved a two-story domestic property that was well alight when crews arrived. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, a positive pressure ventilation unit, and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
Three casualties were assessed before being placed in the care of paramedics and taken to the hospital. Crews were in attendance for three hours.
A fire investigation is now underway.
