Three fire engines from Blackburn and Hyndburn attended an electrical fire in a house on Whittaker Street in Blackburn. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and portable fans to extinguish the fire and clear the smoke. One casualty was treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics at the scene.
