Two fire engines from Hyndburn fire station attended a fire involving a dishwasher in a kitchen in a house on Martholme Avenue, Clayton-le-Moors at 23:14. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. Two people were treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
