Three fire engines from South Shore, Fulwood and Preston were called to a house fire on Spring Meadow, Clayton-le-Woods. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, gas detector and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire and were at the scene for approximately one hour and a half hours. No injuries were reported, and the cause is under investigation.
