Four fire engines from Leyland, Chorley, Tarleton and Bamber Bridge, along with an aerial ladder platform from Preston, attended a house fire on School Lane in Croston. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and two ventilation units to extinguish the fire and prevent it spreading to adjacent properties. One casualty was treated by ambulance crews.
