Three fire engines from Wesham, Lytham and St Anne’s along with an aerial ladder platform from Blackpool attended a house fire at Vale Royal in Kirkham. The fire involved the roof of a semi-detached house and adjoining garage. Firefighters used three jets, two hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire and prevent it spreading to the property next door. One casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance suffering from smoke inhalation.
