Three fire engines from Chorley, Leyland and Bamber Bridge were called to a house fire on Newsome Street, Leyland. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. One casualty was treated by paramedics. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
