At 15:00 on 2 June two fire engines from Blackpool and crews from Bispham and Fleetwood attended a domestic property on Beach Avenue, Thornton Cleveleys. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel and triple extension ladder to extinguish the fire. One casualty was rescued by fire crews and placed into the hands of North West Ambulance Service who tragically later died and our condolences go to friends, family and all those more widely involved.
An investigation into the cause has been undertaken alongside Lancashire Constabulary who are asking for anyone with information to call 101 and reference 950 of 2 June.
