Firefighters were called to reports of a domestic property fire on The Moorlands, Weir, near Backup. When crews arrived at the scene they found the incident involved a fire in the kitchen of the property, however it was already extinguished. The incident involved a cardboard box which had been left on a hob. Crews used a ventilation unit to clear the property of smoke and make the scene safe. There were no casualties reported.
