Fire crews from Preston and Bamber Bridge, alongside support from the Aerial Support Unit attended a fire at a property on Victoria Street in Preston. When firefighters arrived at the scene they found one of the flats was heavily smoke logged and two firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire. There was severe fire and heat damage to the kitchen and some moderate smoke damage to the remainder of the flat. There were no casualties reported at this incident and crews were in attendance approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
