Firefighters from Preston and Penwortham were called to reports of a fire at a domestic property on Great Shaw Street, Preston. The fire involved the cooker which had spread in the kitchen. Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire. There were in casualties reported and firefighters were in attendance approximately forty five minutes.
