Two weeks ago Firefighter Clough from Burnley Fire Station brought a little bit of fun to the lockdown lives of children across Lancashire.

Well we’ve got some good news…Cloughy, as he is affectionately known, is back! Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service are pleased to be a hosting a Facebook Live on Tuesday 12 May at 14:00GMT.

In this live stream FF Clough will do an enactment of the Year Two session that is usually run in schools by firefighters and community safety advisors across Lancashire. He will tell the children about the dangers of fire, how to escape the home safely and who to call in the event of a fire.

On the 22 April FF Clough read a bedtime story to youngsters called ‘No Dragons for Tea’ which also shared some fire safety themes. Lots of children tuned in for the session and reached children even as far as away as New Zealand!

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service hopes this interactive session will be ten minutes of light hearted respite for parents whilst also teaching children about the importance of fire safety in the home, something that is even more important during these times of lockdown. A post reminding people of the session will go on the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service facebook page so if you have any questions that you want FF Clough to answer at the end of the facebook live next week then please post them over the Bank Holiday weekend!
