Two fire engines and crews from St Annes and Urban Search and Rescue firefighter colleagues from Chorley (specialists in incidents where structural integrity of a building is threatened) were assigned to an incident at which a lorry had left the road and collided with a building. No-one was trapped and firefighters made the scene safe pending arrival of a building inspector to assess the extent of the damage to the building.
