A fire engine and crew from Penwortham were assigned to a fire at the back of a house on Dart Street Preston. A motorcycle was on fire and the fire had damaged a telephone line distribution post. Firefighters used a hosereel jet to put the fire out. There were no casualties. The cause of the fire is to be established.
