Firefighters from Blackburn and Hyndburn were called to reports of a fire involving a detached garage approximately 4m by 6m. It was well alight when they arrived and it was unknown whether there was anyone inside the building. Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets to search the building and extinguish the fire. It was confirmed quickly confirmed that there were no people unaccounted for. Firefighters were at the scene approximately 2 hours and 45minutes.
