At 04:03 on 23rd March, six fire engines from Chorley, Leyland, Bamber Bridge and Penwortham, and a Stinger appliance from Skelmersdale, attended an outbuilding fire in Charnock Richard. The fire involved a large commercial workshop outbuilding approximately 20x40m in size. Firefighters used two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera as well as the Stinger to bring the fire under control. No casualties have been reported. Investigations into the cause of the fire are now underway.
