At 15:50 on 22nd May 2022, two fire engines from Burnley attended an incident on Valley Gardens, Hapton. The fire involved an outbuilding of a domestic property. Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. One casualty was assessed at the scene for burns by paramedics from North West Ambulance Service. Crews were in attendance for one hour and twenty minutes.
