Two fire engines and crews from Preston were assigned to a fire involving an outbuilding at an allotment site. The single-storey building contained agricultural equipment and supplies. Firefighters used two hosereel jets and a main (hydrant) jet to extinguish the fire, which they believe had been started deliberately. There were no casualties. Police notified of the suspected arson.
