A fire at which the 999 call had reported someone may be trapped by fire. Three fire engines and crews (two Blackburn, one Darwen) were assigned. A man was suffering the effects of smoke inhalation and had burns to his feet and he was taken to hospital by ambulance paramedics. The fire was cooking related and had self-extinguished before firefighters arrived without spreading to its surroundings.
