Firefighters were assigned to a fire in a first floor flat above commercial premises. To maximise search and rescue capability six fire engines and crews were mobilised ( 2 Blackpool; Bispham; South Shore; St Annes; Fleetwood). A casualty was rescued by firefighters and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Firefighters used three hosereel jets to extinguish the fire, the cause of which is to be established.
