Three fire engines from Blackpool, Garstang and St Annes, the aerial ladder platform from Blackpool and the rope rescue team were called to a person who had fallen four metres in to a ditch on Moss Side Lane, Great Eccleston. Firefighters used ladders, ropes and a stretcher to rescue the casualty who was later taken to hospital.
