Preston and Fulwood crews this morning attended reports of a fire involving a domestic property at Waverley Gardens, Preston. The fire involved a flat where it was believed that there may have been a person trapped. Fire crews requested the attendance of further three supporting crews and Penwortham and Bamber Bridge attended. There was one casualty rescued and they received treatment from ambulance crews at the scene. Six firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reel jets and a ventilation unit to tackle the fire. Fire crews were in attendance approximately 4 hours.
