At 03:44 on 25 August three fire engines from Blackpool and South Shore attended Winton Avenue, Blackpool for a fire within a kitchen. One casualty and one dog were rescued by fire service personnel. The casualty was treated at the scene by NWAS and conveyed to hospital. Fire service used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for approximately one hour.
