Three fire engines and crews (two from Morecambe, one from Lancaster) and Coastguards went to the rescue of two teenagers stuck in mud on the beach opposite the Winter Gardens Marine Rd Morecambe. The two rescued casualties were given precautionary checks by ambulance paramedics.
