At 20:46 two fire engines from Padiham and Hyndburn attended a rescue of a person in major entrapment on Whalley Road in Read. The incident involved a ceiling which had fallen on one casualty. The casualty was treated by paramedics and conveyed to hospital. Crews were in attendance for thirty minutes.
