Two fire engines from Rawtenstall, an aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn and a rope rescue team from Chorley and Bamber Bridge were called to help rescue a motorcyclist who had fallen down a quarry on Kings Highway, Accrington at 12:42. Firefighters and mountain rescue teams rescued the motorcyclist and they worked with paramedics to get the casualty to hospital.
