At 11:32 the retained fire engine from Garstang assisted NWAS in a person rescue whereby a casualty had fallen into a river and hit their head in Scorton over Wyresdale. Crews used a triple extension ladder, a 10.5m ladder and a GP line to get the casualty to safety. They were then transferred to hospital by land ambulance.
