Rescue of person who had got stuck down a banking after rescuing their dog from water. Darwen and Preston firefighters attended alongside the aerial ladder platform (ALP) from Preston, the Urban Search and Rescue Team and a crew from Greater Manchester FRS. Crews used a rope rescue retrieval system to bring the casualty back up the banking. Firefighters assessed them but they did not require hospital treatment. Firefighters were in attendance around one hour.
