At 18:35 two fire engines from Hyndburn and Darwen attended a road traffic collision on Blackburn Road, Accrington involving two vehicles. Firefighters used holmatro cutting and spreading equipment to remove the roof off a vehicle and rescue two casualties who were then conveyed to hospital. They were at tens scene for an hour.
