At 23:46 two fire engines from Hyndburn were mobilised to a report of a road traffic collision on Paradise Street, Accrington. There were two cars involved and one casualty was trapped. Firefighters set up lighting and used holmatro cutting and spreading equipment to extricate the casualty on a long board. The casualty was passed into the care of the ambulance service. Firefighters were on the scene for forty minutes.
