At 02:01 on 17 November, two fire engines from Preston attended a road traffic collision on Myerscough Smithy Road, Balderstone. The incident involved two vehicles. Firefighters released one casualty from their vehicle using Holmatro cutting equipment. The casualty was then placed in the care of paramedics. Crews were in attendance for forty minutes.
