At 23:00 two fire engines from Chorley attended a road traffic collision on Blackburn Road, Chorley. The collision involved four vehicles with two persons trapped. Firefighters released two casualties using holmatro cutting equipment and were at the scene for approximately forty minutes. Five people were taken to hospital by road ambulance.
