At 16:43 three fire engines from Leyland and Chorley attended the a road traffic collision on the junction of Ackhurst Road and Southport road in Chorley. The collision involved two vehicles with poeple reported trapped. One casualty was extricated from a vehicle using holmatro cutting equipment before being conveyed to hospital by road ambulance. Firefighters were in attendance for approximately forty five minutes.
