At 18:42 on 27th December, two fire engines from Great Harwood and Hyndburn attended a road traffic collision on New Lane, Mitton. The incident involved two vehicles. Firefighters released one casualty from their vehicle before the individual was placed in the care of paramedics. Another casualty was also assisted up an embankment to an awaiting ambulance. Crews used one longboard, small tools, and scene lighting at this incident. They were in attendance for fifty minutes.
