At 20:16 on 28th December, two fire engines from Nelson and Colne attended a road traffic collision on Bankhouse Road, Nelson. The incident involved three vehicles. Firefighters released one casualty from their vehicle before placing the individual in the care of North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) paramedics. Crews then worked to make the scene safe. They were in attendance for approximately an hour.
