Fire crews from Bacup and Heywood (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue) were called to the scene of a road traffic collision in Whitworth. The incident involved a vehicle which had collided with a domestic property. The Urban Search and Rescue unit from Bamber Bridge attended to assist making the scene safe and firefighters rescued a casualty from the building using a ladder. Two casualties were treated by ambulance crews at the scene and firefighters were in attendance approximately two hours.
