Firefighters from Chorley and Bamber Bridge were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving six vehicles on the M61 northbound between junctions 8 and 9. There were no persons trapped however firefighters assisted other services at the scene in making the area safe and were in attendance approximately one hour.
