At 12:46 two fire engines from Lancaster and Garstang attended a road traffic collision on the junction of Whinney Brow Lane and Lancaster Road, Forton. The incident involved two cars, with one casualty trapped. Firefighters extricated the casualty using holmatro cutters and longboard and they were conveyed to hospital by road ambulance. Crews were detained for forty five minutes.
