Fire engines from Preston, Wesham and Bolton along with the Urban Search and Rescue Unit from Chorley attended a road traffic collision on the M6 motorway between junctions 32 and 33 at 21:42. One casualty was released from a heavy goods vehicle using cutting equipment, spreaders and a winch. Firefighters were at the scene for an hour.
