At 12:03 two fire engines from Rawtenstall attended a fire on Almond Crescent. The fire involved refuse bins at the side of a garage attached to a property. Crews used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and were engaged at the incident for one hour and fifteen minutes. There were no casualties however there was extensive damage to garage and contents.
