Six fire engines and other specialist appliances were called to a fire at a school on Highcross Road, Poulton-le-Fylde. Firefighters used six breathing apparatus, two hose reels and four ventilation units to extinguish the fire involving a sports hall. The fire is now under control and the number of fire engines at the scene has been reduced. Firefighters will be damping down over the next few hours. No injuries were reported.
