Two fire engines from Nelson attended a fire involving an electricity sub-station on Brownside Road in Worsthorne-with-Hurstwood, Burnley. Firefighters worked with Electricity Northwest and Cadant engineers and used a powder extinguisher and thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. A number of local properties suffered loss of electricity as a result of this incident.
