Three lorries parked at the roadside in close proximity to each other had been deliberately set alight and two fire engines and crews from Blackburn and one engine and crew from Darwen were assigned to the incident. Firefighters used three water jets with foam injected into the water, appropriate for a fire involving fuel and oil. There were no casualties. Police were notified of the suspected arson.
